How to Order a Freight Wagon via the Rental Wagons freight exchange platform

Planning to transport cargo by rail and want to reduce logistics costs? The Rental Wagons online platform offers a convenient way to order wagons for a technical trip*. You can select and book wagons for your cargo online and remotely sign a transportation contract. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use our platform.

*What is a technical trip?

A technical trip is a one-time shipment of specific cargo to a destination along an agreed route and within a specified timeframe.

Search for Available Wagons Without Registration

Even if you’re not yet registered on our platform, you can use the wagon search function. Simply enter the departure station and select a date. The system will automatically display a list of available wagons with full specifications. Each listing also shows the distance to the destination station and the planned loading date for the next trip. This allows you to evaluate the availability of rolling stock and plan your transport in advance. Registration is required to place an order.

Register on the Platform

Rental Wagons works exclusively with legal entities, so registration requires information about both the user and your company.

To register:

1. Click the “Register” button in the top-right corner of the website.
2. Fill out the form with your first name, last name, and contact details.
3. Accept the privacy policy and click “Register.”
4. On the next screen, enter your company’s name and registration code (e.g., Tax ID or registration number).

A confirmation email will be sent to your address. Follow the link and wait for your account to be activated by a manager. Once activated, you’ll gain full access to the system.

Log In to Your Personal Account

After your account is confirmed:

1. Click the “Log In” link.
2. Enter your login and password.
3. If you forgot your password, use the password recovery option.

You can now place transportation orders, manage applications, and track the status of all your operations on the platform.

Sign the Contract

To start working with us, you need to sign a contract with Eranium UAB, the operator of the Rental Wagons platform and the direct owner of the wagons. In your personal account, go to the “Contracts” section, where you can:

1. Review a sample contract;
2. Download the template;
3. Submit a request for signing.

If the contract has not yet been signed or you have questions, please contact your manager:

Select a Wagon

Go to the “Wagons” section to find rolling stock suitable for your cargo. Use the convenient filters to sort wagons by:

1. Departure and arrival stations;
2. Date;
3. Wagon type;
4. Volume and load capacity.

Once you’ve selected a wagon, click on its card to add it to your cart.

Place an Order

To place an order:

1. Go to your cart;
2. Enter route details: departure station, destination, and type of cargo;
3. If you have an active contract, enter its number;
4. Add a comment if special conditions are needed;
5. Click “Request Price.”

You will receive a commercial offer by email within 4 working hours. All offers with terms, timelines, and pricing will also be available in your personal account under the relevant section.

If the offer suits you:

1. Check the box to confirm it;
2. Choose an existing sender or add a new one.

Submit and Track Your Application

Once all data is confirmed, the application is created. In the “Applications” section, you can:

1. View the status of active applications;
2. Review your history;
3. Track wagon movement and agreed terms.

Application statuses:

1. Awaiting Payment — Order placed but not yet paid;
2. In Progress — Wagon is being sent to the departure station;
3. Completed — Shipment completed, invoice issued;
4. Cancelled — Application was withdrawn.

Each application card contains documents, invoices, instructions, and wagon tracking information.

Payments

In the “Payments” section, you can view:

1. Outstanding invoices;
2. Payment history;
3. Prepayments.

You can pay via:

1. Bank transfer;
2. Online via Paysera: click the “Pay” button and follow the instructions.
