On November 7, 2024, a Lithuanian delegation, led by Lithuanian Consul General in Almaty, Gvidas Kerusauskas, met with Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Minister of Transport, Mamanbiy Omarov, in Tashkent. Among the delegation was Darius Sebeckis, director of the international transportation company Rental Wagons, who actively participated in discussions on key issues of bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, participants discussed prospects for advancing collaboration in transportation and logistics. Significant attention was given to increasing transport volumes between Lithuania and Uzbekistan, optimizing logistics chains, and strengthening transport links. Other topics included information exchange on transport route conditions and customs procedures enhancement, aimed at ensuring smooth cargo movement and speeding up delivery processes.
On November 6, alongside the TransLogistica Uzbekistan exhibition, the Uzbekistan-Lithuania Business Forum was held in Tashkent, organized by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. This event provided an essential platform for transportation companies like Rental Wagons and other Lithuanian enterprises to hold productive meetings, exchange experience, and discuss long-term cooperation prospects with Uzbek partners. Rental Wagons representatives engaged in several meetings focused on strengthening business relations, supporting the development of economic interaction between Lithuania and Uzbekistan.
Both the forum and TransLogistica Uzbekistan exhibition underscored the mutual commitment of both sides to deepening cooperation in transport and logistics. These events offered participants opportunities for idea exchange and discussions on modern solutions, emphasizing the growing interest in expanding partnership relations.
